Bremerhaven is specifically targeting the needs of the wind energy industry with the further development of commercial areas alongside water deep enough for seagoing vessels and with forward-looking investment in infrastructure.

A further 150 hectares of production and assembly space for companies seeking to expand or set up a base are available in the Luneplate industrial estate

For the transhipment of components for offshore wind turbines (foundation structures, towers, nacelles, rotor blades) as well as other elements for offshore wind farms (transformer stations), the quays in the Labradorhafen basin, in the southern area of the container terminal and at the so-called ABC-Halbinsel in Bremerhaven have been used up to now.

Directly adjacent to existing available industrial area the sustainable industrial park "Lune Delta" is in planning.
