Close to AREVA Wind GmbH, REpower Systems SE, WeserWind GmbH Offshore Construction Georgsmarienhütte and PowerBlades GmbH are about 280 hectare area for expansion and new settlements available. Nearby the new Offshore Terminal Bremerhaven is in planning.
Test field for 5 megawatt pilot plants of Multibrid GmbH and REpower Systems AG in the north of Bremerhaven.
Embedded within an industry-specific infrastructure the 200-acre offshore wind port located at the water front with sufficient water depth for sea-going ships provides everything the wind energy industry needs to have:
- Production and assembly areas for the foundation, tower, nacelle and rotorblade production as well as for storage and final assembly
- Traffic areas with bearing capacity and dimensions suitable for the transport of offshore components
- Heavy cargo terminal at the water front with sufficient water depth for sea-going ships
- Excellent hinterland transport infrastructure
The subarea Luneort with 32 ha of land can be built on right away and if necessary the area could be parcelled into smaller plots.
The areas are situated in close proximity to the site of the company PowerBlades GmbH (Joint Venture of AR Rotec and REpower Systems AG), the Weser Wind GmbH Offshore Construction Center Georgsmarien-hütte as well as adjacent to the assembly halls of REpower Systems AG (5 to 6 MW) and the Multibrid GmbH.
With the further development of the Luneplate there are plans for the con-struction of another offshore terminal on the Weser with its own connec-tion to the industrial area lying behind. This would be connected by a heavy track in a northerly direction directly with the offshore terminal in the Weser.
